FOOD : Review of Sweet Paradice Desserts, Edinburgh
Dessert Parlours seem to be springing up in Edinburgh of late, with plush pink interiors and pushing every Instagram button there is. I suppose it comes on the back of the success that the very trendy EL&N has had in London, claiming to be London’s most Instagrammable hotspot. I’ve been to EL&N Park Lane and left bitterly disappointed. It was all style over substance.
Could the newly opened Sweet Paradice in Edinburgh be any better?
Sweet Paradice seem to have it all. The blush pink flower wall, the pink neon sign, and lots and lots of colour that looks great on camera.
I have to say though, that they have a large amount of sweet treats and desserts that will make your head spin

REVIEW OF SWEET PARADICE, DESSERT SHOP, EDINBURGH
You can have ice cream on a choice of nine cones including a gluten free one, and they have twenty five flavours including five vegan ice creams and two dairy free sorbets.
There’s thirteen signature shakes like Chocolate Blackout (Oreo cookies) and Mint Madness (Mint Aero) and twenty eight chocolate bar shakes like Galaxy Caramel and Lindor.
Am I making you hungry yet?
TartanSpoonie, Carmin, tried out the Biscoff Milkshake (£6.75) and the Banoffee Milkshake (£6.75). These were delicious. Loaded with selected choice of syrup drizzled down the inside, but also the flavour was throughout the milkshake. Very rich and creamy with a good consistency. Defo will give your jaws a workout sookin on that straw!
The pancakes looked irresistible so the Simply Maple (£6.95) was ordered. Cinnamon and Maple Syrup Pancakes with Banoffee Ice cream (extra £1.50).
Massive portions but never enough syrup. Overall tasty.
Couldn’t leave without trying the cookie dough that’s been freshly baked in the oven and served with ice cream. This was the Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough (£6.49) with an extra £1.50 for your choice of ice cream.
This was just as you would expect. Warm and gooey and a chocolate lovers dream!
If you are a choc-a-holic, have a sweet tooth, are in the mood for just something sweet and sugary, then this is one place you need to hit up.
They have about ten seats for sit in, but also do collection, delivery and you can order via Just-Eat too
