Hard Rock Edinburgh kicked off it’s most extensive menu innovation in the company’s history with new offerings. The legendary restaurant’s new menu puts the spotlight on its line-up of all-new, award-winning Steak Burgers, headlined by the world’s first edible 24-Karat Gold Leaf Steak Burger™ that will benefit Action Against Hunger.
Steak Burgers aren’t the only items making their debut on Hard Rock’s new menu, which also includes Instagram-worthy Boozy Milkshakes and Sliders and Shareables that encourage adventure and exploration, allowing fans to curate their most flavourful playlist.
TartanSpoonie, Carmin went along to try out a little bit of everything and here’s how she got on.
The star of the show, Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh’s new and award-winning Steak Burgers, are created with a proprietary blend of fresh, 100 percent Certified Angus Beef® to produce the most flavourful burger possible. From premium accompaniments like freshly baked, toasted buns to signature sauces and produce at its prime, Hard Rock Cafe’s new Steak Burgers let everyone eat like a legend.
The 24-Karat Gold Leaf Steak Burger – The shining star of the line-up is this first-of-its-kind burger with bling. Steak Burger topped with 24-Karat edible gold leaf with cheddar cheese. The burger is huge and super juicy. Really good flavour from the steak burger, but luckily no taste from the gold leaf - that’s just for the glitz and glamour of it all.
BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger – Steak Burger is seasoned and seared with a signature spice blend, topped with house-made barbecue sauce, crispy shoestring onions, cheddar cheese and smoked bacon. This is super tasty and it’ll take all you have to get your teeth into this as its a tower of a burger - a delicious tower! Bacon was crispy, onions added a lovely super crunch and this is one flavour profile you can’t beat!
Other new additions to the burger menu include:
Moving Mountains® Burger – 100% plant-based patty, topped with cheddar cheese and a crispy onion ring, served with leaf lettuce and vine-ripened tomato.
The Original Legendary® Burger – Steak Burger with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, crispy onion ring, leaf lettuce and vine-ripened tomato, served with Hard Rock’s signature steak sauce on the side.
The Big Cheeseburger – Burger features three slices of cheddar cheese melted a Steak Burger, served with leaf lettuce, vine-ripened tomato and red onion.
Double Decker Double Cheeseburger – Burger consists of two stacked Steak Burgers with American cheese, mayonnaise, leaf lettuce, vine-ripened tomato and red onion.
Guests looking to create their own playlist of menu items will enjoy Hard Rock Cafe’s new Sliders and Shareables. From the delicious One Night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp™ to Southwest Spring Rolls, everyone at the table can indulge in their favourite menu items.
The Whiskey Bacon jam sliders went down a treat. Three mini-burgers with American cheese, crispy onion ring, and homemade Jack Daniels Whiskey bacon jam on a toasted brioche bun. This is a trio of yumminess that just keeps on giving.
As well as the Trio of Whiskey Bacon Jam Sliders, you’ll also find this humongous plate of Classic Nachos which is absolutely meant for sharing as its a considerable portion. Crisp tortilla chips layered with ranch-style beans and a four-cheese sauce blend, topped with fresh pico de gallo, spicy jalapeños, pickled red onions, melted cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, and green onions, served with sour cream on the side. Shew! These are finger licking good!
Bellies full, it was time to Shake It Up with Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh’s new Boozy Milkshakes but before you sip, make sure you take a piccie as these are Instagram-worthy with their enchanting garnishes and brightly coloured toppings.
This is the Strawberry Cheesecake Boozy Milkshake with Absolut Vanilla Vodka and vanilla ice cream blended with the flavors of strawberry cheesecake, with white chocolate whipped cream and frosted animal crackers. Holy moly! They pack a voddie punch but they are so thick and creamy, that they are heavenly!
The Cookies and Cream Boozy Milkshake was a sure winner on the night and consisted of Absolut Vanilla Vodka, vanilla bean ice cream, white chocolate and Oreo cookies, with whipped cream and a chocolate Oreo churro. A dessert in a glass!
The staff at HRC Edinburgh are fabulous and it’s is without a doubt a great and interesting venue. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh and loved the nachos and the milkshakes especially.

I was invited by The Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh to review their menu. Food and drink were complimentary but the views are very much my own.
