THE FOOD AND DRINK EXPERIENCE

During our visit, we were privileged to enjoy a Mythical Beasts whisky tasting led by Gordon Brown from Spiritfilled, whose bonded warehouses are conveniently situated on the farm itself. This delightful experience was paired with a self-cook, five-course lunch, featuring the freshest local produce and meticulously prepared by the talented private Chef Al Roberto. Lindores is passionately committed to reducing food miles and proudly celebrating the abundant larder of the Fife region.

Every bite we savoured was a testament to this dedication, and I must express my gratitude for Mr. TartanSpoon's culinary skills. His expertise ensured that everything prepped to perfection was also cooked to perfection, enhancing our dining experience immeasurably.

Here’s a glimpse of our exquisite menu:

  1. Beetroot Orzo Salad with Mint, Feta & Candied Walnut: A refreshing starter that perfectly balanced earthy beetroot with the sharpness of feta and the sweetness of candied walnuts.

  2. Homebred Lindores Lamb & Mint Burgers on a Brioche Bun: Juicy, flavourful lamb burgers, made from the farm's own livestock, paired with mint and nestled in a soft brioche bun. A smoky Caol Ila whisky was splashed on the burgers, adding to that that gorgeous smoky fire flavour.

  3. Chicken Thighs with Lindores Abbey Single Malt Whisky Sauce: Tender chicken thighs enriched with a smooth and aromatic whisky sauce, highlighting the local Lindores Abbey's craftsmanship.

  4. Sea Bass Fillets with Lemon, Capers, Parsley & Tomato: Delicate sea bass fillets complemented by a zesty and tangy mix of lemon, capers, parsley, and tomato, offering a fresh and vibrant main course.

  5. Smoky Brownie with Dulce de Leche Crème: A decadent dessert featuring a rich, smoky brownie paired with luscious dulce de leche crème, providing a perfect sweet ending to our meal.

The combination of exquisite food, exceptional whisky, and the stunning surroundings of Lindores made this visit an unforgettable culinary adventure.
