PRODUCT : Flavour Blaster Mini - adding fun to your cocktails

This handy Mini Flavour Blaster from www.flavourblaster.com will most definitely add fun with a capital F to your cocktails!

I often dream of having a large spacious home with a living space that could easily incorporate a bar. I’d fill it with quirky fun bar decor, and it would definitely include a flamingo, a palm tree and a gorgeous gold cocktail bar complete with every gadget one’s little home bartender heart could desire and of course this - THE MINI FLAVOUR BLASTER in sexy hot red!

THE FLAVOUR BLASTER MINI, MAKING COCKTAILS AT HOME MORE FUN

I’ve used a Flavour Blaster before, an older larger version of this one and I have to say that this is far more streamlined and easier to use. It’s the perfect size without it being too clunky or heavy.

The Mini Flavour Blaster (FBM) comes in a beautiful presentation box complete with gun (available in a variety of colours), 2 tanks, 2 aroma oils, a bottle of bubble mixture, bubble bowl and a USB charger. It really is a perfect way to up your bartender game at home, or if you just want a superb party trick!

It’s simple and straight forward to get your flavour blaster up and running for first time use. Simply charge it for a few hours. The USB cord is very funky and flashes throughout the charging time.

You’ll fill a tank up to the demarcated line with one of your chosen aroma oils (citrus or passion fruit are included but many more aromas are available too). Slide the lid off your FBM, pop the tank in and slide the lid back on.

Once the FBM is charged, 3 clicks to the button turns in on and its ready to go!

If you only squeeze the button, white smoke will be released but this is where the magic begins…. dip the nozzle into the bubble mixture and gently squeeze the button, miraculously a beautiful swirling orb of smoke encapsulated in a bubble will hang precariously onto the nozzle whilst slowly expanding. Be careful though, it’s flimsy, delicate and fragile and yet strangely resilient until it’s not!

This is so much fun to play with and hours will just whittle away. I’ve made small bubbles, bloody great big bubbles, bubbles that have fallen off the nozzle and landed ontop of the cocktail completely intact and then some that just wanted to be a big pool of smoke all day long.

It can get quite frustrating when you can’t quite perfect the ultimate bubble within a few goes but watching the YouTube videos from Flavour Blaster HERE and then picking up a few tricks made the whole thing much easier. There are a few tricks to learn and here’s what I have learnt:

  • wet the rim of the glass with water first

  • use a glass that doesn't have too wide a circumference

  • leave a collar (space between drink and lip of glass)

  • keep the gun nozzle pointing down

  • try not to use ice or garnishes in your cocktail or anything with a pointy or rough edge that might pop the bubble

I love my wee Mini Flavour Blaster and it sits pride of place on my cocktail shelf that will one day make it into a gorgeous bar complete with flamingo and a palm tree!
