NEWS : Halloween at Scone Palace: Spirits of Scone

If you go down to the woods tonight, you’re in for a haunting surprise…Opening on 25th October and running each night through to Halloween on 31st October, Scone Palace is being spectacularly transformed especially for the spooky occasion.

With thrill-seekers in mind, Spirits of Scone has been created to offer visitors the ultimate fright night experience. From the travelling circus of terrors to the zombie maze, this event is not for the fainthearted.

Stephen Branigan, Head of Palace and Events, said: “Gather together your most fearless friends for a chilling visit to Scone Palace this Halloween, and we’ll take you on a terrifying tour as you’ve never experienced before!”

As night falls, the palace gardens will come to life and transform into a truly terrifying playground for all kinds of menacing ghouls and nasty surprises. Lurking in the woods and hiding in the maze; this is where nightmares come to life.

The outdoor walking route will take you on an unforgettable hour-long tour throughout the grounds, like you’ve never seen them before. The event also includes:

The Tipi of Terror: for some ghostly storytelling. Warning....These are no bedtime stories, they come with a nightmare guarantee. Limited tickets available so purchase on arrival to avoid disappointment.

Monstrous makeup: for visitors who really want to get in to character, stop by the pop-up makeup station situated inside the palace to be transformed with a gruesome slash or some oozing zombie flesh.

Frightfully good food: a delicious selection of hot and tasty food will be available from the Fright Night Café (outdoors next to the maze) or in the Dead Servants' Hall (inside the palace). There will also be monster marshmallow sticks for toasting on the devilish firepit.

Fancy dress: is encouraged however masks are not permitted.

Spirits of Scone Halloween shop: there will be a ghoulishly good selection of spooky souvenirs including t-shirts, tote bags, badges, magnets, torches and beanies. Prices range from £3.00 - £12.00.

Spirits of Scone is not suitable for young children and teenagers under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cost £18.72 for adults and £9.63 for children (up to 15yo) including transaction fee. There are ticket concessions available too.
