Porter’s Gin has announced that it is launching into France from April 2019.
Working with distribution partners Hedon Distribution, Porter’s Modern Classic and Porter’s Tropical Old Tom gins will be available within both the on and off trade. France marks the 8th export market for Porter’s which has already enjoyed success in its ultra-competitive category since its launch, distributing to several international territories including Singapore, South Korea and Japan.
With a passion for creating better drinks, Founders Ben, Josh and Alex turned the basement of their bar in Aberdeen, Scotland into one of the UK’s most innovative micro-distilleries. Since then, Porter’s has established itself as the gin of choice amongst bartenders in some of the leading cocktail bars around the world.
Cold distilled for a light and natural flavour, the team uses low temperature distillation as part of their process, enabling them to extract the flavours of delicate botanicals such as pink peppercorn and Buddha’s Hand citrus. The resulting gins have a refined, natural and fresh flavour profile, making them perfect for long drinks, aperitifs and highballs.
As part of its launch into France, Porter’s will feature on the new 2019 menu by the multi-award-winning bar, Little Red Door. Currently placed at no. 33 in World’s 50 Best Bar Awards, Little Red Door’s new menu is entitled ‘A Way with Words’; using the meaning of words from different cultures or societies that can’t be directly translated into English as inspiration for each cocktail. Porter’s Tropical Old Tom features in the MAURI – a fresh and easy-drinking cocktail – that represents the marriage of the sea and forest.

To support its launch into the French capital, the Porter’s team plan to collaborate with Paris’ leading cocktail bars and assist in building collaborations with other international bars. In particular the team will be hosting water transfers along the Seine, with Little Red Door and new London bar FAM during Cocktail Spirits in May 2019.
