Their kombucha (#healthyfizz): The soft drink with the strong underbelly. Craft-brewed with only the finest ethically-sourced teas. It is raw, naturally-sparkling and fermented. They have two varieties, the earthy No.1 Yunnan Black which is akin to having a beer, but sans booze. Perfect on its own or with hearty fare.
And the vine fruity No.4 Darjeeling Second Flush, which they like to call the “brunch buch”, is a little more refined, and good with cheese.
They handcraft the brews in their kombucha brewery in the coastal town of Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders. Made by a former beer brewer, their kombucha is the healthy fizz of choice at only 3.2grams sugar per 100ml and 14cals, and packed full of probiotics, it is no wonder kombucha’s ancient Asian creators dubbed it the ‘elixir of life’.
